Hi all! How are you? I have been super busy and haven't had much time to blog lately. Lovin this start to summer. It is truly my favorite time of year.
I am planning to update my shop tomorrow. I am making these super cute pocket organizers... this is just one of them as a little peek. I don't think I have been this excited about anything I have made in awhile. I am LOVING making them. Some of the others will be made from hankie fabrics ... soooo cute, I can't wait to show you all of them!
The idea came from me wanting (so badly) one of the vintage pocket organizers I have seen but never seem to find. Sooo I thought, well I have some pretty vintage fabrics, maybe I can make one?
I added a little bit of embroidery to one of the pockets... adds such a nice touch dont' you think?
I used a vintage matelassé fabric for the backgroud... just LOVE this. I purposely kept the frayed edges on the fabrics because I love em like that.
Here is a picture of it filled with a few little things... the trinkets will not be included with the organzier but I wanted to show you how cuuute it is when you start adding some of your favorite things. Of course, you could use it for practical things too like pencils and scissors... or how cute would it be for a mail catch all? I think I could use one of these in every room of my house.
This is my grandparents when they were young... check out the car they are leaning on. I just LOVE this picture. So young... and how fast life must have flown by for them. My grandfather is now passed on and my Grandma so much misses him.
So tomorrow night I will show you the rest that I am working on... tonight I will be sewing away! I am not sure what time they will be listed but I will let ya know here on my blog. They will be 32.50 each.
