My favorite thing to collect is vintage hats. I buy them usually for the flowers.... so that I can take them apart, but, these ones are the ones I won't take apart becasue they are each so special. They are getting harder and harder to find and it seems the market for these beauties has really grown in the past few years.
On my list of things I would love to do this year is to design a line of flapper cloche style hats. We will see if I can give it a try sometime.
There are lots and lots of photos so I won't talk much so you an enjoy the photos.... ;)
This gardenia hat was the first hat I ever bought years ago when my Mom was an antiques dealer at a local show.
I love this one... probably at the top of my list as my fave.
This hat is one that I designed using a vintage hat base...and vintage flowers. I LOVe that pink rose with the little berries. I am glad I decided to keep this one.
how beautiful this one is...
This one I almost took apart as it is a little plain... but the velvet flowers are so pretty that I just couldn't.
This last hat is not mine... my Mom took a photo of it to show me when she went to an antique show this weekend. The price tag was around 125.00... but OH MY... I LOVE it. Isn't it fabulous? Thanks for showing me Mom. I am thinking I would like to try to create one similar to it if I could. I don't know where I would find such beautiful old flowers though.
I know that was a lot of photos... lol... but I hope you enjoyed a peek at my one of my most prized collections.
