Hiya! It is August? Where did July go? lol! crazy crazy month here... and it flew by in an instant. My Dad always says that Summer is just like the weekend... June is like Friday... July is like Saturday... and August is like Sunday, with Monday looming just around the bend. I always smile when he says that.. so so true.
As some of you may remember, my birthday was a few weeks ago and I received some of the prettiest little things. Don't you just love birthdays? My Mom put these cards above on my birthday gift. I LOVE them... so so pretty.
and she tucked lots of little lotions and soaps inside this pretty little hat box.. I LOVE it! She always knows just the things I will love. I am not sure how she parted with this hat box! lol Thanks so much Mom! ♥
My dear friend Natasha, who is always so thoughtful, sent me this beautiful cuff bracelet that she made for me! I LOVE this... so vintagey and pretty. I really love all of the beading on it.
and some beautiful laces that were Natasha's aunty's... ;) The powder puff is really SO sweet with the gorgeous ribbon work. Thanks for sending me such a sweet birthday package Natasha!
You may remember me saying that I was going on a camping trip with my friend Stephenie and her family a few weeks ago? Well, it was Stephenies birthday that weekend and mine was the week before so we saved our little gift exchange until then. When we gave each other our gifts we layed them ALL out all over the picnic table and oohed and aaahed at everything. All of our boys think we are nuts ... but who cares what they think? lol! These are some of the the things she gave me..
This is my very FAVorite thing... a gorgeous antique vanity pitcher. I LOVE this SO SO much. The color is simply beautiful! Here are some more of the gifties..
I love every single thing... she spoiled me for sure! thanks Steph for always getting me such great gifts! ;))
~~
and while I know this post is already kindof long, I wanted to tell you about our little craft day we had at my Mom's on Friday. I was able to sneak away while my husband took off from work a little early to watch the kids and met Steph at my my Moms house for a day of SOLDERING!! My Mom has the prettiest house in the country.
and the most beautiful garden....
this is part of her yard... it is so peaceful here. Steph was amazed at all of the hummingbirds and we even saw some deer while we were there.
These little lambs are my favorite thing in her garden... so sweet. :)
and after we strolled around looking at all of her pretty things, we got down to business and soldered some jewelry!!
I took a beginner class from Sally Jean when I went to SIlver Bella last year and loved it. I am so glad we finally made time to do this. There is alot of tools and supplies that you need to get started but once we got it all together we did pretty good for being such beginners. These are the charms I made...
and these are the backs... so cute huh? I know there are some places that are bumpy, but that is OK! I love them anyway.
I have been experimenting with lots of jewerly type things lately... jewelry has always been a love of mine. I am working on designing a line of vintage jewelry creations that I will share with you soon. I am really excited about it.
soooo after that long post, I hope you are still with me! I hope I will be back sooner next time. See ya soon! xoxo heather
