Hello all... hope you had a wonderful wonderful Mothers Day to all you ladies out there! We went to church and then to brunch with my Mom and our family (no cooking for us!) It was a nice relaxing day. It is not often you will find posts of me or my children here on my blog... but I just couldn't help but share this post today.
I was trying to take a picture of myself today for an upcoming project... and I was trying to do the whole "artsy take the photo in the mirror type thing" when my youngest son took an interest in my little photo shoot.
Mom, you smile like a chipmunk...
giggle giggle giggle
and he proceeded to put bunny ears in my photos every chance he got...
If you don't stop messing up my photos mister boy I am going to take your picture...
ahhhh she got me!
all the while this little girl is watching our shenanigans thinking we are crazy...
I love being a Mom with all my heart..
These are the days I hope my boys will always remember... the days when we are silly and laughing together. There is no greater gift in my life than to be a Mom.
My oldest son is busy doing his teenager~ish things for our little shenanigans...lol. He is almost 16. How fast the years go by. Just the other day he was the same age as my little guy and now I am looking up at him! He is a good boy...
I love our talks... like real discussions... about the world, whats going on with his friends, his Chemistry test, how girls are full of drama .. I love those talks.
I love it when he helps me figure out something on the computer that he knows more about than me, or carries something heavy for me without my having to ask him.
He plays the drums.... wants to be a rock star. I told he needs a back up plan incase that doesn't work out, you know?
He is growing up. too fast.
Every age has its special things for a Mother to hold onto.
I will hold all of these special memories in my heart forever. xoxo Heather
