Today is such a FUN post! If you are a reader of Andrea Singarella's blog then you might know that she is excited to welcome her first little baby girl into the family. After having 2 boys you can imagine how excited she is! Some of us girls have gotten together to throw Andrea a baby shower. The best part, it is a surprise and she has no clue! lol
It took a bit of arranging but Hope and Gabrielle are right now in Leesburg Virginia with Andrea for a day of lunch and shopping... or so she thinks. The surprise is that we have all mailed Hope handmade baby gifts for Andrea to open while she is at lunch. Hope and Gabrielle were going to set up the table and gifts in the restaurant and then wait in the parking lot for her, and pretend they weren't inside the restaurant yet... so sneaky. lol! I love it.
Lets take a peek at what I made for her...
I made sweet baby Singarella a crown entirely out of beads and rhinestones. Every little girl needs a crown of her own! It was inspired by one that I saw in Crowns & Tiara's. It is hard to tell in the photo but it is teeny tiny.
I attached a few tiny velvet leaves and millinery flowers here and there...
I also made her a little something else... if I were to ever have a little girl she would probably be wearing hankie skirts and pillowcase dresses during her whole childhood, I love them so much! SO, I made her this sweet little baby sized apron made entirely from vintage linens. ;) It is TINY... see the pink rose hankie? Well, to get an idea of how tiny that should tell you... it is just one little hankie that makes up the whole thing! lol SO cute.
The base of the apron was made from a vintage place mat! hehe... anyway, I have had this piece tucked away for some time. It is very old and the lace is handmade Italian lace called Reticella lace. I thought that was a lovely sentiment to Andrea's little bambina that is on her way! I added a little corsage of velvet strawberries and a vintage daisy too.. it is removable to wash if she needs to.
Now when Andrea works on her projects with baby around, she can have her very own Art Apron like Mama! ;)
Here is a peek at the table that Hope and Gabrielle set up in the restaurant for Andrea...Hope just emailed it to us a few minutes ago... :) Surprise Ms. Singarella! Congratulations on your new little baby girl and I wish you and your family nothing but happiness!
Be sure to visit the other girls that have also sent Andrea gifts and well wishes too... xoxo Heather
