Remember my post from the other day about Lori's journal pages? Well, I was digging through some of my junk and came across that cute little vintage dress tag.... how appropriate for Lori's gown page! It says "selected by Jane Morgan". So I just had to glue that on there...
and then the top of this page was bugging me a little because i kept feeling like it needed something... so I added a bit of lace and some glitter. now it is perfect I think. My Mom said it looks like she is under a little curtain... lol. so cute.
and I forgot to share the tag I made for the sign in page.
Lori made the most darling sign in page... each of us has a little pocket for our tag.
I am done playing now... sometimes it is a little hard to stop. Now it is packed and ready to go off to Holly for real this time. I promise Girls!
We had the worst weather this week... and this morning a major ice storm. I am going to venture outside to take my little one to a birthday party this afternoon but not looking forward to it. Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy out there.
This is like 4 posts in 4 days... wow... I am on a creative roll right now. I made these super cute ruffle stockings this weekend... aren't they sweet? They are made out of burlap. I hung them on my shelf in my dining room.
They were so easy to make.
I added the instructions on how to make them in the "Sweet Messengers of Christmas Garland" class as a little thank you for the ladies taking the class. So for those of you that are already signed up for the class... you can see the instructions in the online classroom right now.
It is so fun to see some of your projects coming to life now! Hope you enjoy them!
If you are interested in more information on either of these projects you can find it right here. You will get full instructions on how to make the Messengers of Christmas Garlandand these sweet little stockings too.
Here they are on my shelf...
My boys better watch out... I may just stick some ruffles to them too... hahah.
You may remember from a previous post that I am participating in a Paper Doll round robin with Lori, Holly and Andrea. I have had Lori's book here for awhile now... and it is long overdue that I finish my pages in it and get it off to Holly. This is what I created for her.
Lori and I both love the 1920's/30's so whenever she asked me to join her with this project I knew that the paper doll I would create for her book would be somehow tied to that time.
I think this little lady turned out so lovely... I love her hat and I made her a paper skirt. (for those of you in my garland class, you may recognize how I made this!)
I have been busy decorating my house. I told myself I would only need a few days but for whatever reason it is taking me alot longer. I stopped to take this picture while the boys were at school...and my husband was at work. Sitting by the tree with a hot cup of coffee... in the quiet. So wonderful.
The rest of the house is a mess... but you don't want to see that part anyway.

(It will take you about the time it takes to watch a movie to make this so you can pop in your favorite movie... make yourself a cup of something hot and create!)

Hello everyone. I am going to offer an online class with instructions on how to create this sweet little Christmas garland for your home.
It is beautiful hanging from a mantle... on an evergreen garland, on mirrors and cupboards, or even on your christmas tree! The materials are all inexpensive... and things you can find at your local craft store.
The class instructions will available starting on Thursday morning (December 3rd). The cost will be $10.00 and the instructions will remain available for viewing all season long so that you can make it at your convenience.... so really a no pressure class for you to enjoy relaxing and making yourself something beautiful this Christmas season.... or to make a few for gifts too. ;)
Every Christmas we decorate our homes with things such as garlands and wreaths... but I don't think we stop to remember what these beautiful ornaments symbolize. I created this garland with much thought to what it symbolizes.
People have been using wreaths as decorations for hundreds and hundreds of years. It is the symbol of eternal life... there is no beginning and no end.
The Christmas bells announce the joyful news of the birth of baby Jesus!
and of course, the doves are our sweet little messengers of eternal peace and love.
Isn't this ruffled wreath so pretty? I will teach you the technique I used to make this using something most of you probably have in your kitchen. (and no... not coffee filters) :))
I really do love all that this garland symbolizes .. so many traditions that people long ago used to celebrate the many blessings of Christmas.
So join me here on Thursday ... tell your friends... get your glue gun... and I will tell you how you can join the class and make your own Sweet Messengers of Christmas garland! I can't wait.
