Welcome to the Pretty Little Christmas Party!!! I am SO excited that SO many of you have joined in the fun and I can't wait to pop around and see what is pretty in your lives for Christmas time!! Thank you for joining me. I have added the list of blog links at the bottom of this post.
For the party I thought I would share a few corners of my home. The idea of this party is to post anything about Christmas that you feel is pretty... it can be a gift, handmade creation or some holiday decorations. There really are no rules, I just wanted us to have fun and appreciate the beautiful things that surround us during this season. :)
I have been decorating all weekend here and there. Pretty much the only thing I had up until Friday was my Christmas tree. lol! I have heard so many people saying that they just didn't have enough time to get all done that they wanted to this year, so I guess it have been a bit busy for all of us. I didn't decorate everything that I usually do but what I did do I made sure it was pretty and special to me...
I love this corner with the whites and silvers.... I added some dried roses from the summertime to my basket for a bit of color.
Sweet little sheep from my Mom...
The thing for me about Christmas decorating is that I usually don't like to take down my every day decor so I just used what I already had in place and added some garlands with ornaments here and there to make things more festive.
On this garland I have hung some special ornaments...
The sweet ornament on the left is one that I bought from Pam Garrison when I was at SIlver Bella. I just love her so much. The little beaded star was a little gift from Andrea ... so so sweet and it looks perfect just glistening with the glittery snowflake.
I made her along with the other paper ornaments I showed in my last post..
This is such a darling little bird ornament from Holly Abston. Thanks Holly! I love love her and she goes so nicely on my little garland.
This ornament I bought last year from Little Melfie, It is a photo of my Mom that I added to the front from when she was a little girl. Love this!
I noticed that while I was decorating how many of my decorations were special gifts from friends. This Noel sign was a gift from my friend Stephenie last year.
I filled one of my jars with some vintage bulbs and added a mercury glass garland for the ribbon...
I used a lot of blue, which is my fave color, in my decorating this year. Ok, forgive me for saying this but I hope it doesn't look like "old lady" blue to people that visit me... I am getting a little bit carried away with all things blue. You know when older ladies just love the color blue and they have blue wallpaper and carpet and bedding etc ?? lol!! I was looking around and thinking, Oh my, I hope I am not turning into a blue old lady.
The little pin cushion lady (a gorgeous birthday gift from Cheryl) looks so sweet in this centerpiece on my table... she looks like she is dancing on ice.
I foofed up my favorite baby head with some white feathers and added some beautiful velvet flowers. The lovely blue ones were from Karla. :)
Another thing I did was just plopped some ornaments and tinsel into some cups and bowls I already had on display. This just adds a little bit of festive touch to what I was already decorating with.
These girls, two of which were a sweet gift from Nancy, got some festive crowns and tinsel necklaces. SO my littlest son told me I really need to learn how to make crowns and the ones I made for these girls look nothing like real crowns. lol!!
I added a few favorite ornaments to this pretty crinoline. just using what I already had and foofing it up a bit...
SO I hope you enjoyed my Pretty Little Christmas tour... and I wish all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks so much for playing along! ♥ Heather
